So happy to share with you that I am now a Certified Reiki Practitioner, as well as a Certified Sound Practitioner!

Just like us, our pets can accumulate imbalances, stress, trauma and emotional issues. In fact, we share energies with our pets just like we do with a spouse or partner. As a result, our pets can take on the energies we bring home from work and the outside world.

Energy healing can help all beings to relax, release trapped imbalances and ignite one’s own ability to self-heal.

The “STAY” command is an exercise in self-control for your dog. It’s essential for good manners as well as preventing and tackling problem behaviors: jumping, greeting human guests, greeting dog friends, entering and exiting doorways, feeding time and crossing the street.

Once dog has mastered “SIT”⇢

– Ask them to “SIT”

– With an open palm, say “STAY”

– Take a few steps back & reward with a treat/affection if they stay

– Continue to gradually increase steps away before rewarding

– Start indoors with little distraction before going outdoors

Many pet parents take extra care to select the perfect dog food, but are less choosy when picking out treats, after all- it’s a treat! However, cumulative consumption of highly processed food and empty excess calories can lead to obesity, periodontal disease and other consequences.

What to watch out for:

Preservatives (BHA, BHT, Ethoxyquin, Propylene Glycol, Ethylene Glycol),

By-Products, Artificial Coloring, Food Dyes, Salt, Sugar, Corn, Soy, Gluten and Rendered Fat. Dairy is not a great concern, but it is a common cause of food allergies and sensitivities. Grain-free is always a better option, as well as treats that are made entirely in the USA.

Better options:

– Organic and all-natural store-bought treats or homemade treats

– Raw carrots, apples, pears, snap peas, green beans or blueberries

– Made in the USA chicken jerky

– Dehydrated sweet potato slices

Safety note: Feed size-appropriate treats. Always supervise while they are chewing. For raw bones, make sure length is longer than dog’s muzzle.
